To Family Members and Friends:
We are starting your weekend off with exciting news … Newton Care Center now has 13 Residents who have recovered from COVID! As of today, we have had 31 positive Residents, 13 recovered Residents and grieved 5 Residents. Thankfully we have not lost any employees to COVID although we have had 15 tests positive for the virus. We are celebrating the 7 employees who have recovered as of today as well!
Our testing strategy will continue, and we currently have tests pending for Residents and employees who originally tested negative. This strategy was suggested by the local and state health departments to ensure we get completely free and clear of the virus.
Beyond celebrating recoveries, next week is nurses’ week and we are excited to celebrate our heroes who have worked tirelessly to provide care and compassion during this challenging time. We remain #NewtonStrong
