The Jasper County Fall Festival will be a one day event on September 14th (rain date of Sunday, September 15).
The day will kick off with a warm pancake breakfast in the quaint basement area of Grace United Methodist Church beginning at 6 am and continuing until the start of the parade at 10 am.
From 9 am to noon the Classic Car Show Registration will be going on at 303 S. Van Buren Street and the decorated pumpkin contest judging will be held.
Throughout the day, beginning at 9 am and lasting until 6 pm there will be homemade and unique crafts on the square and food vendors with a wide variety of items for sale.
At 10 am the ever popular Fall Festival parade will kick off at the high school and make its way up Miss D Avenue to the square. Be sure to come out and enjoy the array of floats, bands, and other parade entries including the performance of the Newton Marching Eagles on the square following the parade.
From 10 am to 8 pm there will be free kid’s fall games.
At noon, the corn hole tournament registration will begin, the pumpkin growing contest will be held at Alliance Tractor, and the decorated pumpkin contest winner will be announced.
From 12-12:30, McFitness Tumbling will be performing.
From noon to 3 pm, the Classic Car Show Judging will be held at 303 S. Van Buren.
From noon to 4 pm, the Traveling Critter Crew Petting Zoo will be available for children and adults in the south lot of Joe’s Italian Foods.
From noon to 5 pm, the Future Fireman Training will be available on South Jackson between Rauch’s and Farley’s.
At 1 pm, the Cornhole Tournament will be held for those 16 and older and is hosted by the Ambraw River Eagles.
From 1 pm to 2 pm, the Royal Pumpkin Pageant will be held for ages 3-6 year olds and is hosted by the 2019 Jasper County Fair Queen.
At 2 pm, the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest will be hosted by The Freeze and the registration will begin (ending at 3) for the Pedal Tractor Pull.
At 2:30 pm, Stang Arts will host a live painting.
At 3pm, the Pedal Tractor Pull and the pig scramble will be held along with the beginning of hayrides being offered by the Jasper County Antique Tractor and Machine Club.
At 4pm, Dakota Danielle Esker will perform and at 7 pm, the Fuedin Hillbillies will perform.
