The Newton Public Library summer program entertainer for the week was Mad Science performing science experiments and entertaining the children with his fun and interactive performance. On July 1st the sales tax in Jasper County will increase by one percent as the one percent school tax takes effect after being voted in during the November 2018 election. Businesses will need to begin collecting this tax in addition to the sales tax already being collected. Superintendent Andrew
