The Helregel Reunion was held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Parish Center, Sainte Marie, Illinois with 52 persons attending. Family pictures and quilts were displayed for all to enjoy.
Brock Vogt, Kinsey Barber, and Linda Huss led everyone in the meal prayer. After dinner, July (Helregel) Millsap thanked everyone for coming, and we sang “Happy Birthday” to Brock Vogt who was celebrating his 20th birthday.

Youngest Boy: Rhett Nettleton, 10 months old
Youngest Girl(s): Wesley and Rory Stull, 15 months old
Oldest, wisest gentleman: Don Helregel, 90 years young
Oldest wisest lady: Betty (Helregel) Wakefield, 98 years young
Traveled the furthest: Linda Mathious and Isaac Stone, from Studio City, California
Most newly married: Ryan and Kelsey Millsap, 8 years
Couple married the longest, Don and Sara Helregel, 64 years
Youngest grandparents: Chuck and Stacey Nettleton, 60 and 57
Couple/person with most children/grandchildren present (including spouses): Bob Helregel, 11
Macy Vogt led participants in fun “Line and Blob” activities. Then “Minute to Win It” games were played and enjoyed by all: (Lumpy Apple Sack… trying to stack 5 apples, Say AHHH…balancing 12 sugar cubes on a popsicle stick, and Oven Mitt Challenge…wearing oven mitts while trying to open a bag of suckers, then unwrapping as many suckers as possible in 1 minute.
A group photo was taken of all in attendance at the reunion. The next Helregel reunion will be the 4th Sunday in June 2025 at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Sainte Marie, IL.
