NCHS football and band opened their 2025 seasons with the first home game of the season and the first halftime show performance of the season. Before the pre-game festivities, Tom Clark, the voice of the Eagles, was honored for his time as the announcer for Newton Eagle Football with a banner that will hang on the press box. Tom announced from 1962 to 2012.
In addition to honoring Tom and his dedication to Newton Eagle football, the 2005 State Runner Up football team was recognized after the halftime performance by the Marching Eagles. The Marching Eagles performed a portion of their show Pipe Dreams. The Eagles have different uniforms for their show, but can still be seen in their traditional orange and blue for the pre-game performace.
