Newton Eagles Dominate Mt. Carmel 8-0, Stay Perfect in Conference

The Newton Eagles continued their strong season with a commanding 8-0 victory over Mt. Carmel on Monday night, improving their record to 10-3-0 overall and 3-0-0 in conference play.

The offense was relentless from the opening whistle, with Lance Volk and Evan Holder each scoring twice to lead the attack. Luke Farley, Wade Ochs, Brock Anderson, and Aden Guzman all added goals, giving Newton a balanced scoring effort across the roster.

The Eagles also shared the ball well, with Brock Anderson dishing out three assists. Farley, Volk, Henry Will, and Holder each recorded an assist as well, showing Newton’s depth and teamwork in the attacking third.

Defensively, Newton earned its sixth clean sheet of the season. The back line of Wade Ochs, Brady Bergbower, Cylas Dickerson, and Brett Bower locked down Mt. Carmel’s offense, while keeper Curtis Weber stood tall to preserve the shutout.

The victory keeps the Eagles unbeaten in conference play and builds momentum as they push deeper into the season.
