Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service? The Peoples State Bank is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Full-Time Teller to support our Newton, IL location. Saturday shifts will be part of your schedule on a rotating basis.
As a Full-Time Teller, you will be the face of the bank—handling customer transactions, answering questions, identifying financial needs, and connecting customers to appropriate services and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding service to customers in a professional, friendly manner
- Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other transactions
- Respond to inquiries and resolve basic customer concerns
- Identify opportunities to refer products and services that meet customer needs
- Travel to and work from any of our Lawrence County branches as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred—but not required
- We are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and travel between branch locations
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking and customer service.
