NEWTON — Scott Avenue Christian Church will host a food pantry distribution for Jasper County residents later this month as part of its Family Tree Ministry outreach program.
The distribution will take place Thursday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the church, located at 404 S. Scott Avenue in Newton.
Organizers ask participants to bring their own bags or boxes to carry the food items they receive. Attendees will come inside the church to pick up their items.
The Family Tree Ministry at Scott Avenue Christian Church focuses on serving the community and supporting local families in need. The ministry emphasizes unity and equality through its guiding message: “In Christ’s family there can be no division. Among us you are all equal,” referencing Galatians 3:28.
The food pantry distribution is open to Jasper County residents who may need assistance.
