Students in 3rd grade decided to do a service project this year to collect plastic caps and recycle them into benches for the school. So far they have collected enough caps to have 2 benches made! One bench will be located near the playground area and the other will be located in front of the school.
Thank you to the families and community members who have graciously been collecting caps to donate to this cause and thank you to the NE PTO for funding the benches! Students and staff at Newton Elementary appreciate all of the support!
