Delbert Dean Marshall, age 90, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 12:10 AM –
Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Newton Care Center in Newton, Illinois.
Visitation will be held 9:30-11:00 AM – Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the Meyer
Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with funeral services to follow with Mike Knepper
officiating. Burial will be in Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton, Illinois. The obituary can

Delbert Dean was born on January 26, 1929, in Jasper County, Illinois, the son of
Bernard and Ruby (Kincaid) Marshall.
Delbert Dean is survived by: Children – Wanda (Norman) Kocher of Newton, Illinois;
Vincent (Ellen Kay) of Redfield, South Dakota; Joseph (Debbie) Marshall of Monticello,
Illinois; and Theresa (Bob) Rudolphi of Newton, Illinois.
Delbert Dean is survived by twelve grandchildren: Delores (Dusty) Johnson of Olney,
Illinois; Anthony Kocher of Frederick, South Dakota; Keith (Kim) Kocher of Newton,
Illinois; Wayne Kocher of West Liberty, Illinois; Janice (Travis) Baltzell of Newton,
Illinois; Barrett (Kristin) Marshall of Arlington, South Dakota; Holly (John Paul “JP”)
Heber of Wessington Springs, South Dakota; Chad (Annie) Marshall of White Heath,
Illinois; Amy Jo (Zach) Lancaster of Modesto, Illinois; Nathan Rudolphi of Noble, Illinois;
Michael (Hillary) Rudolphi of Pittsboro, Indiana and Stacy (Harley) Gray of Newton,
Illinois.
Twenty one great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Cook, Michaela, Britannia and Emily Kocher,
Kyle and Kayla Kocher, Dakota, Dalton, and Dominic Baltzell, Wyatt and Emery
Marshall, Haven, Harley, Harlan, Herby Heber, Ava and Oliver Marshall, Credence,
Crimson and Ryman Lancaster and Sadie Rudolphi.
One great-great grandchild – Paxton Baltzell
Brothers – Kenny (Linda) Marshall of Newton, Illinois
Sisters – Rosie McGee and Susie Andrews both of Newton, Illinois
Delbert Dean was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don, Roy Dale, Floyd and
his twin sister Dema Millsap.
