Chapter FN of the P. E. O. Sisterhood met Jan. 14 at the home of Diane Ogdon. President Lowelle Schaefer presided over the meeting. Barb Eaton served as recording secretary pro tem. Chaplain Renee Hartigan gave devotions from Isaiah 12:1-6. Treasurer Jan Klier reported 16 members present and gave the monthly report.
Corresponding secretary Barb Eaton read the correspondence she had received. The auditing and nominating committees were activated. Faye Clapp reported on Cottey College regarding a student, Bailey Wilson who is sharing her college experience and love of Cottey with FN. Faye Clapp also reported on ELF and PCE, our loan and grant fund opportunities. We have 2 students we are helping at present and another Educational Loan Fund applicant is in the process. Connie Sanders reported on Courtesy, and Barb Eaton reported on the Ways and Means . Beth Mammoser reported on the yearbook and passed around sign up sheets for hostess and programs.
Dolores Barni presented the program on our 7 Founders. P.E.O. was founded Jan. 21 1869.
Diane and co hostess Donna Connor served a delicious pumpkin roll and angel food cake with topping. We so enjoyed the meeting in Diane’s beautifully decorated winter theme home.
The next meeting will be Feb. 11 at the church.
