Ste. Marie Senior Citizens who are over age 60 and have limited or no regular transportation, for whatever reason, may be eligible for meal delivery service through the Jasper County Senior Citizens Center. Many times seniors are unable to leave home due to illness, injury, recent surgery, or other issues limiting transportation such as no longer being able to drive, early stage dementia, and many, many other factors. The Jasper County Senior Citizens Center would like to assist these residents in meeting their nutritional needs. Caregivers of these individuals may also qualify for meals.
For more information about the Senior Citizen Center Meal Delivery Service contact 618-783-3660. While there is a $4 suggested donation, it is merely a suggested donation and inability to donate all, part, or any of the amount does not affect the meal delivery. There are no income guidelines as this program is open to all seniors in need of delivered meals.
