Newton Elementary kicked off their “Kid’s Heart Challenge” yesterday with an assembly for 1st-6th graders. Jennifer Chaney from the American Heart Association came and talked to the kids about the importance of heart health and how their donations help fund research to help kids who may need life saving heart surgery.
Last year, Newton Elementary raised over $16,000 (our best year every!) and NE earned over $2,500 in PE equipment to use in our school!
Students will be taking donations through February 18th.
