Claire Carr was a defensive threat all season. She led our team in steals this year, mostly due to her outstanding presence in our full court pressure. Claire was also a leading rebounder as well as a great, unselfish team player.
Brooke Jansen was an outstanding team captain by demonstrating leadership all season. She led the team in scoring, but also was a huge contributor on the defensive end of the court. Brooke was also a leading rebounder for the team.
Allison Harris was our leader on the court. As one of the team captains, she ran the offense with strong knowledge of the game. Besides being a top contributing scorer, she always read the floor and her team very well. Allison led the team in assists and free throw percentage.
Eliza Bierman worked hard all season. She always seemed to have that big shot or drive to the basket when the team needed it. She also was great at helping to teach our younger players in practice. Eliza showed much determination throughout the season.
Renae Russell was our inside presence in the game. She was always a factor on the boards. Plus, she came up with some big shots in the paint. Defensively, Renae filled the role of our help defender.
These seniors will be greatly missed. They worked hard each day and represented Lady Eagle Basketball very well. Their leadership, grit, and tenacity will be difficult to replace.
