District’s Spring Fish Sale
The Jasper County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring a
fish sale. There are many types and sizes of fish available; Black Crappie,
Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Albino Catfish, Fathead Minnows, Grass Carp,
Hybrid Sunfish, Largemouth Bass and Redear Sunfish. All of the fish are
placed in bags with oxygen so that they are easier to transport to your
pond and the mortality rate of the fish remains low. We suggest that you
bring a 5-gallon bucket to transport the bagged fish.
If you are interested in placing an order to stock your pond, the order forms
may be picked up at the Jasper County Soil and Water Conservation
District office located at 1403 Clayton Ave in Newton or by visiting
www.jaspercountyswcd.com . Please fill out an order form and return it to
the Jasper Co. SWCD office by April 20 th for Grass Carp orders and by April
28 th for all other fish orders. When ordering grass carp include the section,
township and range of where the pond is located and the approximate
pond size. This is so the necessary permits can be processed for the grass
carp.

1401 Clayton Ave in Newton on May 6th at 11:00 a.m. Remember the last
date to order grass carp is April 20 th and all other fish is April 28 th .
