Clara L. Miller, 99, of Robinson
Clara L. Miller, 99, of Robinson, formerly from Newton, Illinois, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her
residence at Timber Creek Village.
She was born October 23, 1920 in McCleansboro, Illinois the daughter of Viola Boster Vice and Rev.
Leonard F. Vice. She married Frederick “Red” Miller on April 3, 1943, in St. Louis. He preceded her in
death.
Clara served as Jasper County Circuit Clerk for 26 years. She was a member of the Grace United
Methodist Church in Newton, Illinois.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Kull of Robinson, Illinois, Clara Jeanne Harvey of West York,
Illinois, and Anne Henderson and her husband John of Robinson, Illinois. Two sons, Bob Miller
(Cynthia) of Indianapolis, and Jim Miller (Theresa) of Newton, Illinois, preceded her in death. Their
wives survive. She is also survived by several grandchildren: Beth Georgiou (Tom); Chris Miller (Mari
Carmen); Jim, Rob and Alexandre Miller; Justin Miller (Sara); Travis Miller (Courtney); Jamie Blake
(Eric); Andy Wright (Heidi); Matt Harvey; Kate Pleasant (Tony); and Toria Heil.
She is survived by several great grandchildren: Alex Georgiou (Amy); Anna Williamson (Guy); Oliver,
Joseph, and Johanna Miller; Chelsea, Taylor, Addison and Kennedy Miller; Mackenzie, Megan and
Maleah Miller; Madison and Landon Blake; Mya and Jack Wright; Matthew Harvey; and Tyler Pleasant.
And great great grandchildren Jackson, Josh and Jama Craig; Clyde Thomas Williamson (Baby Clyde
Thomas due in August 2020); as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Red Miller, sons-in-law Frank Kull and Greg Wright,
siblings Faye Didjurgis, Virginia Chapman, Bette Secor, Eleanor Drake and Leonard Vise.
Private family services will be conducted at a later date. Crain Funeral Home in Newton is handling the
arrangements. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Newton, Illinois.
