Rose Marie Tate, age 83, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 8:30 PM – Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Newton Care Center in Newton, Illinois.
Private family services will be held. The Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, is assisting the family.

Rose Marie Tate was born on March 19, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Winnie Pearl (Andrews) Gasso. She married Kenneth Ray Tate on December 15, 1972 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2007.
Rose worked as a CNA at Newton Rest Haven.
She is survived by-
Son- Jeff Niccum and John Tate both of Newton, Illinois
Granddaughter- Alainna Jo Tate of Effingham, Illinois
Sisters- Cora Lee Lister- Chicago, Illinois and Frances (Dale) Gentry of Casey, Illinois
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Imogene (Sonny) Yager.
