St. Thomas Remembers

Today, St Thomas students and staff gathered around the flag pole to remember those who not only lost their lives, but also affected by the events of 9/11.

Mrs Bierman’s prayer for the day:

Heavenly Father,

On this beautiful Friday morning, Patriot’s Day, we are thankful for sunshine and clear skies. May we remember the lives of those who died on a morning like this, 19 years ago.

We also pray for the families of those who died, who continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones that day.

We pray for those who planned the attacks and the devastation on 9/11 as well. May their troubled hearts be healed.

May we never become so afraid that we forget that our faith should be stronger than any fear, and that your plan is the only plan.

Let all of us work hard to be our best and do our best today, knowing that we are made in your image, Lord, and have a lot to live up to. May those closest to us guide us down the right paths.

For those who are sick and those who have died, may peace fill their hearts.

Amen

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!
