Newton Cross Country competed against Teutopolis and North Clay on September 10th at Sam Parr State Park.
In the women’s race, T-town defeated Newton with a score of 23 to Newton’s 32. (North Clay did not have a full team, however, those who came participated as individuals.
Winning the girls meet was Rylea Borgic from Newton with a time of 18:44. Laney Hemrich, Alexis Hetzer, and Elley Bennett also scored in the top ten.
In the men’s race, Newton won with a score of 23 to T-town’s 32. Luke Weber won the meet with a time of 16.12. Also placing in the top ten for Newton was Clay Bergbower, Ben Street, and Brock Probst.
