4th Annual Wave of Light
Event Date: October 15, 2020
Join the Jasper County Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group as we honor all the babies who have left us too soon in our 4th Annual Wave of Light Ceremony, Thursday October 15, 2020. Registration begins at 6:30 PM at the White Oak Picnic Area Pavilion at Sam Parr State Park in Newton, Illinois. The public is welcomed to attend and show their support.
A reading of names and illumination will begin at 7:00 PM.
If you would like to add a name to our list of names to be read, please comment on the appropriate post in the event.
We are providing the candles and white paper bags to be used, we are asking that you bring a canned good (or two) to use in the bags to help weigh them down. These will then be donated to the local food pantry in Newton. A donation jar will be available at the event to help cover costs for this event and to provide outreach services in the future.
This event is free and open to all families and friends who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, or death of a newborn.
