Dean Junior Kerner, age 67, of Springfield, Illinois, and formerly of Jasper County, Illinois, passed away at 7:37 AM – Friday, November 6, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.

Dean was born on February 26, 1953, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Loren Dean and Barbara Mae (Dawson) Kerner. Dean had worked as an ironworker and in nursing homes as a caregiver. He also had a lawn care business for a while. Dean was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Dean is survived by:
Children – Rich Kerner of Robinson, Illinois; Kara (Jesse) Gonzalez of Frisco, Texas and Duane (Katie) Kerner of Lake Wood, Colorado
Granddaughter – Emilee Gonzalez
Brother – Dennis (Louise) Kerner of Xenia, Illinois
Dean was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale “Peach” Kerner.
