Chapter FN P.E.O. Sisterhood July Meeting

Chapter FN of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met July 9 at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Chaplain Renee Hartigan gave devotions from Proverbs 31:25-30. Katina read the minutes of previous meeting, Treasurer Jan Klier reported 21 members were in attendance. Barb Eaton reported on the Ways and Means committee meeting stating that a letter will be going to members next month regarding our annual fundraiser. FN also plans to participate in the Jasper County Cancer Support bingo on Oct. 3.
Courtesy was reported on by Connie Sanders, E Sister was reported on by Connie Kerner, Membership was reported on by Jane Casey, IPS was given by Michelle Stone, P.E.O. Scholar Awards by Laurie Zuber, PCE and ELF by Connie Kerner. The social committee will be hosting a social meeting on Aug. 27th 2 weeks following the next regular meeting…details soon.Vice president Beth Mammoser announced the next meeting will be at the church on Aug 13 with Connie Kerner as hostess.
Sharon Wagner presented the program, an interesting book review of “An Invisible Thread”. She made the characters come to life. This book was based on a true story and is available at the Newton Public Library.
Hostess Linda Coombes and Heather Buechsenschuetz served delicious key lime pie and lemon tortes desserts with drinks, nuts and mints.
