Newton’s City Wide Cleanup is scheduled for May 21 7am to 4pm & 22 from 7am to 3pm
· Now is the time to start cleaning up around your property.
· Last year we moved the large dumpsters to the City Street Department on Marion Street. That is where the dumpsters will be again this year.
· We will NOT be taking electronics this year. The Jasper County Highway Department holds at least 2 electronic recycling events each year, so we are not taking them during City Wide Cleanup.
· Republic Services will pick up trash/unwanted items throughout the city. Any oversized items will need hauled to the dumpsters located at the Street Department on Marion.
· Elderly and disabled people in need of assistance can call City Hall at 618-783-8451 on May 20, 2021 if they need help loading up large/awkward items they no longer want.
· This Cleanup event is for City of Newton residents only.
· The Brush Dump will also be open for yard waste items both days. .
