Barbara D. Martin, age 88, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 2:36 PM – Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Newton Care Center in Newton, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois with Rick Britton officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9:00- 10:00 AM – Friday, June 18, 2021 at the funeral home. In loving memory of Barb, memorials may be made to the GFWC Newton Junior Woman’s Club. Arrangements are in the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Barb was born on May 7, 1933, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Anna Mae (Cambron) Dodson. She married Jackie Lee Martin in 1970, and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2014.
Barb and Jack were strong supporters of the Republican party and for many years she was the editor of LINKS 19th Republican Congressional District Newsletter.
Barb and Jack enjoyed square dancing with the Jasper Jumpers, even sewing their outfits.
Barb enjoyed crocheting, sewing and could craft something amazing from random items she could find.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons John Milburn and Michael Clark, great-grandson Christopher Andrews, siblings Rosie Ginder and Marshall Dodson.
