Doris Jean Haberland, age 76, of Toledo, Illinois, passed away at 8:08 AM – Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery in Toledo, Illinois. Doris was born on May 9, 1945, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the daughter of John and Bessie (Atchinson) Brookman.
She married Tyrone Lee “Terry” Haberland on November 13, 1965, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2003.
Doris worked was a proof reader for a publishing company for many years. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Toledo, Illinois.
Doris was a polio survivor and overcame many obstacles. She enjoyed fishing and coconut cream pie.

Lora “Dusty” (Kurt) Walden of Mode, Illinois
Brothers – Bob Brookman of La Center, Minnesota
Sisters – Ruth Howell of Fairview Heights, Illinois; Mary Rankins of Las Vegas, Nevada
and Carol Marquis of Decatur, Illinois
6 Grandchildren – Samantha Haberland, Sheila (Eric) Mines, Sabrina (Cody) Friese, Megan (Josh) Forster,
Kayla Brookman (Jonathan Kimball) and Jon-Micheil Brookman
5 Great-grandchildren – Benjamin McDaniel, Kaleb McDaniel, Draven Miles, William Kimball and Colt Friese.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers James Brookman, Don Brookman and David Brookman and a sister Alice Baugh.
