With the first full week of the school year upon us, one of the biggest changes in the District is the new food service company OPAA! the meals are made from scratch and offer a wide selection of foods for students to find a meal that is right for them. There is also an option of a salad bar to bring in fresh fruits and vegetables into the school lunch diet.
The cooks and kitchen staff at JCCU1 have been working with OPAA! to learn the OPAA cooking style and procedures. The District has retained all of the same cooks and when they retire, OPAA will work to continue to hire local replacements.
To find the new menus on the district website begin here and click on the school of your choice. Once you are on the school’s website you will click on the word menu in the black bar and from there you will have access to the breakfast and lunch menus for that school.
Included in the menu is health information for items, pictures of many of the foods, and allergen issues for ingredients.
