The Newton Lady Eagles Volleyball Team faced the Effingham Lady Hearts in their season opener. The Freshman Eagles defeated Effingham in three sets of 24-26, 25-22, and 12-10. The JV team defeated Effingham in two with scores of 25-10 and 25-12. The Varsity team fell in two with scores of 13-25 and 19-25.
