The Newton Eagles won their second game of the season and of the St. Anthony tournament with a win over Greenville of 7-0. Goals were scored by Ross Farley (four goals), Seth Weber (one goal), Eli Weber (one goal), and Carder Reich (one goal).
The Eagles will play again in T-town on Saturday against Christ our Rock and Salem.
Coach Creadore talked about the game stating, “We came out and played our game. It was late in the second half before we found out first goal. Ended the half 2-2. The second half we came out strong. We knew if we played our game the whole time we would wear them down and that’s what we did. Great all around effort from everyone.”
