Rhonda Michelle Floyd, age 52, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 5:59 AM – Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, after a short battle with cancer.

Rhonda was born on April 5, 1969, in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Linda (Cox) Floyd. She was raised in Channahon, Illinois, and relocated to several states before calling Mattoon her home.
Rhonda was a great friend to many. She lit up the room with her bright personality, wit, and sense of humor. She enjoyed vacationing with Mike, reading mystery novels, crocheting, caring for her dog Marco, and running her online store of vintage collectible items.
Rhonda is survived by her loving partner – Michael Silvia of Mattoon, Illinois; daughter – Brittany Floyd of Champaign, Illinois; father – Russell Floyd of Mattoon, Illinois; and brother Jonathon Floyd (Janene Issert) of Wilmington, Illinois.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing and hospice staff at Carle Foundation Hospital for their devoted care.
