What musicals have you been in at NCHS and what characters/roles did you play?
I have been in Cinderella (dancer) and Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat (Narrator).
What was your favorite musical and why?
I think that my favorite musical is White Christmas because this is this first year that we are doing a winter musical. This show really brings in the holiday spirit and has a great message behind it.
What scene in White Christmas is your favorite and why?
My favorite scene is definitely the best things happen while you are dancing because of the dancing in the scene.
What are three things being in the musical have taught you? and how have you learned these?
Being in the theatre department for almost 4 years has taught me how to be humble, manage my time, and how to make some killer coffee for the talented directors that put up with the cast. I’ve learned these of course from the wonderful directors that push me to do my absolute best.
What are two pieces of advice you would give young people who want to start performing in musicals at NCHS?
For the future performers I want to tell them to be confident and patient. It really does take a lot of time and practice to put on the shows that we do.
What will you miss the most once the final curtain closes on your NCHS musical career?
I will definitely miss everyone that makes these shows possible. We are a great big dysfunctional family and I will cherish every last performance leading up to my last.
