Jordyn Huston, the daughter of Mike and Lisa Huston, a 2012 graduate of NCHS, and a P.E.O. ELF loan recipient, shared her educational journey to Newton Chapter FN P.E.O. during the February meeting. Jordyn completed her undergraduate work at Saint Louis University where she studied Medical Laboratory Science. Following her graduation and two years of working at a hospital laboratory, she enrolled in medical school at SIU Carbondale.
She is currently in the process of applying for residency programs and will soon find out where she will complete her training. Jordyn has chosen to pursue a 3 year residency in Pediatrics, which will likely be followed by an additional 3 year fellowship in either Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Endocrinology.
Jordyn concluded her presentation by expressing her appreciation to P.E.O., sharing how the ELF loan has aided her educational process, especially with its low interest rate.
