Newton Lady Eagles scores more runs than Plymouth, takes victory on Friday to the tune of 8-3
2022 Newton Lady Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Camryn Martin tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Kayla “Kocher” pitched 2022 Newton Lady Eagles to victory. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Amelia Collins and Emma Kidwell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Williams took the loss for Plymouth. The bulldog surrendered eight runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out one.

Amber Russell was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Friday, driving in four on three hits to lead 2022 Newton Lady Eagles past Teutopolis Varsity Wooden Shoes 11-1 on Friday. Russell drove in runs on a single in the first, a triple in the second, and a double in the fourth.
2022 Newton Lady Eagles secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Russell, Ava Kessler, and Avery Mulvey and a triple by Kayla “Kocher”.

Newton Lady Eagles got out to a four-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 5-4 victory over Richland County Lady Tigers Varsity on Monday. Richland County Lady Tigers Varsity scored three runs in the failed comeback. Rylyn Walters, Rylee Bloomer, and Bloomer all picked up RBIs in the rally.
