Jasper County Community Unit #1, Board of Education Meeting
Report January 16, 2023
Superintendent’s Report:
- The Jasper County School District developed several strategic plans in the summer of 2021. These strategic plans were broken down into five areas. One of the strategic plans focuses on building and grounds of the district.
- The Jasper County Strategic Planning #2 creates a safe and conducive teaching and learning environment by maintaining, enhancing, and expanding our existing facilities and infrastructure to meet the needs of students, staff, and community.
- The District is looking to develop a building plan to address needs in the district.
New Business
- Approved a contract with King’s Financial.
- Approved fuel bid from Wabash Valley Service Company.
- Approved Newton High School Graduation Ceremony for May 13, 2023 at 7:00 P.M.
First Reading of Board Policies:
- The Board had the first reading of Press Policies.
Resignations
- Accepted the resignation of Angela Newlin effective January 3, 2023, as a NES School Counselor.
Approve to Advertise:
- Approve to advertise for a NES School Counselor effective immediately.
