Everyone attending the Jasper County HCE Annual Banquet and Meeting on Monday, April 24, was in for a treat watching Becky Belcher, of McLeansboro, Illinois, create a chalk drawing set to music! Melanie Dion, daughter of Lori and Tim Dion, and granddaughter of JoAnn and Melvin Birk, won the $500 Scholarship Award! HCE Board Members were installed: President, Judy Millsap; First and Second Vice President, Marlene Harris; Secretary/Treasurer, Donna Richards; 4-H, Family, and Community Issues, Martha Allison; Cultural and International Issues, Kathy Yager. Thanks to Parklanes for a delicious meal.
