Eagles Undefeated in Conference Play Giving Coach Fulton 200 Career Wins

Newton Varsity Eagles defeated Paris Tigers Varsity 14-2 on Monday thanks to 12 runs in the second inning. Max Meinhart, Marc Jansen, David Ferguson, Carder Reich, Isaac Flowers, and Gage Reynolds each had RBIs in the big inning.

Meinhart led things off on the mound for Newton Varsity Eagles. Meinhart lasted five innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out six and walking one.

Kody Crampton was on the hill for Paris Tigers Varsity. The pitcher surrendered nine runs on seven hits over one and one-third innings, walking zero. Gabe Roush threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Flowers went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Newton Varsity Eagles in hits.

Paris Tigers Varsity racked up six hits on the day. Landon Englum and Curl each had multiple hits for Paris Tigers Varsity. Paris Tigers Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Englum had the most chances in the field with four.
