The Board hired Weston Peno as the Dean of Students for Jasper County Junior High School and Newton Community High School.
Weston describes himself as a dedicated educator with experience in developing educational policy on state and national levels, as well as expertise in developing curriculum and instructional strategies for a variety of levels. He is a lifelong learner and strong leader with experience in organizing, leading, and supporting various educational groups.
Weston earned his bachelor’s degree from EIU, master’s degree in curriculum from Greenville University, and is completing his masters in educational leadership from EIU.
He is on a 200 day contract with a starting salary of $59,000.
