Jeffrey was born on February 19, 1972, the son of Charles (Bud) L. and Connie S. (Culler) Kirts in Olney Illinois. Jeffrey married the love of his life, Martha Buerster, on May 17, 2003, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois, and she survives. They have two wonderful children that he adored and loved deeply.
Jeff loved spending time outdoors. He took great pride in teaching his children and others to hunt, camp, and fish. Jeff was so proud that his children loved the outdoors as much as him. Jeff had a strong love of boating that he acquired from his parents. He passed this tradition on to his family. He spread the joy of boating to many friends and was always adding people to the boating family. Jeff’s smile could light up a room and he loved spending time with family and his many friends. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 1704 of Newton, Illinois and The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 932, Sainte Marie, Illinois. Jeffrey worked and was appreciated by his coworkers at D M Manufacturing in Sainte Marie, Illinois.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife Martha, of Newton, Illinois; daughter Allison (Alli) Kirts of Newton, Illinois; son, Landon Kirts of Newton, Illinois; sister Nichole (Nicci) Hayes and husband Mike Jr. of Bridgeport, Illinois; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, by whom he will be greatly missed.
