JASPER COUNTY HCE is accepting applications for their annual $500 Scholarship to be awarded to an NCHS senior based on highest GPA. Students with a mother as an HCE member will receive first consideration. In the event no applicant meets this criteria, applicants with a grandmother as an HCE member will be considered for this award. Applications are available at the NCHS Guidance Office or the U of I Extension Office, 1002 South Van Buren, Newton, IL. Application deadline is April 12, 2024. The winner will be announced at the Jasper County HCE Annual Meeting on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Parklanes. The $500 award will be presented at the NCHS Awards Event in May.
