Dorothy M. Weber, age 96, of Trenton

Dorothy M. Weber, age 96, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. She was born June 15, 1928, in Newton, a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth, nee Spelbring, Millsap.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Weber, whom she married January 6, 1948 in Olney and who died September 1, 1999; daughters-in-law, Nancy Weber and Sandy Weber; sisters, Bernice (Robert) Earnst, Neva (Earl) Rogers, Ruby (James) Gocza, Doris (Denny) Chesnut, and Helen (Robert) Meers; brothers, Harold Millsap, Earl (Nonda) Millsap, Carl (Dema) Millsap, and Fay (Veda) Millsap; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul (Esther) Weber; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barney Barnes, Frances Weber, Jerry (Margaret) Weber, Iva Lou (James) Kunz, and Winnifred (William) Ahthes.

Dorothy is survived by her four sons, Randy (special friend, Renee McGuan) Weber of Trenton, Rodney Weber of Idabel, OK, Kevin (Connie) Weber of Trenton, and Kirk (Allison) Weber of Trenton; grandchildren, Joella Dettmer, Justin (Stephanie) Weber, Gifford (Diane) Weber, Erica (Jason) Patrick, Michaela (Max) Szilagyi, and Grant (Kayla Garritsen) Weber; great-grandchildren, Kyle (Kelsey) Rakers, Brady Weber, Ansley Weber, Aubrey Dettmer, Rowan Weber, and Ari Weber; great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon Kyle Rakers, Avory Lynn Rakers, and Levi Austin Rakers; brother, Ray (Joanne) Millsap of Tolono; sisters, Ethel (William) White of Maryville, TN; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Millsap of Effingham and Joan Barnes of Belleville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy retired from Arrow Group Industries in 1990 after working in Production as Inventory Control Manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Trenton, and her hobbies included gardening, church reading, baking and cooking, collecting cookbooks, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, and following her kids and grandkids sports.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Trenton with Pastor Rena Whitcher officiating. Interment will follow at Trenton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Trenton First United Methodist Church, or Shriners Hospitals for Children and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S.
