A message from Newton Rotary Club President Brett Lessley:

“Everyone,
We will plan to restart our noon Rotary meetings on Tuesday, August 11th at Parklanes. I’ve heard from several of you about missing the community and friendships fostered by our Rotary group and I’m looking forward to being together after nearly a 4-month break. Since many of our members are in a “higher-risk” category regarding COVID-19, we ask that everyone wear a mask when entering and exiting the meeting. This simply follows our county health department recommended guidelines. Please look to not only your interests, but also the interests of those around you. Also, Parklanes has changed the setup of the meeting room to help with social distancing. They will not be serving a buffet for lunch but rather everyone will be served by wait staff individually. We will also forego hand shaking and singing at this time. I will set up a “go to meeting” call in number for those who wish to attend, but cannot in person.

We want everyone to stay healthy, but also be able to enjoy community and camaraderie that is also essential to our well-being. We hope you will feel comfortable joining us on August 11th as we resume meeting together! Please reply to this email indicating whether you plan to attend. Also, feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

All the best,
Brett A. Lessley
