Despite Max Meinhart recording 18 outs, the Newton Eagles were unable to slide past the Mt. Carmel Aces in Friday’s game. Max took the loss for the Eagles going six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out seven, and walking three.
Gus Bierman led the Eagles with the lone run batted in. Payton Harris, David Ferguson, Isaac Flowers, and Dylan Gier each collected one hit for the Eagles. The Eagles were sure-handed in the field and did not commit a single error. Harris had the most chances in the field with seven. The Aces won 3-1.
