Alice Faye Polk, 88, of Olney, Illinois, passed away October 18, 2025, at her home
surrounded by her family.
A Memorial Service for Alice will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM
at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois.

Alice was born on August 8, 1937, in Alton, Illinois
the daughter of Reverend Kenneth and Amanda (Prosser) Moore.
Alice was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Olney since she moved her in 2008. Alice
had worked most of her life as shipping and receiving clerk at General Foods then as a salesclerk at
Carson Pirrie Scott Department Store working at the perfume and cosmetics counter then moved to the
textiles area of women’s ware.
Alice was very involved in church wherever she lived. Being raised as a Pastor’s daughter in the Church
of God, it was instilled into her at an early age. Alice loved her family and was especially close to her
grandchildren. Alice loved the garden in her younger years and would grow many beautiful flowers.
Being raised in in the area she was, she became fascinated and collected many figurines of
American Bald Eagles as there were several nesting areas near her.
Alice is survived by:
son, Rodney (Margaret) of Bourbonnais, Illinois
grandchildren: Amy Jo Polk and Rory (Julie) Polk
and many nieces and nephews
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kendall Moore,
and sisters, Betty Earnst and Carol DuPree.
