Alva J. Johnson, age 82, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 AM – Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his home.

Alva was born on July 5, 1940, in Jasper County, Illinois, the son of IssacW. and Ada (Heady) Johnson. He worked as an assembler for many years at Roadmaster in Olney, Illinois.
Alva was a member of the Fountain Fellowship Church in Brigeport, Illinois. He enjoyed mowing his yard and taking care of Princess, his dog and Shorty the cat.
