The Eagles 4475 recently held a porkburger event for the Saved By Grace Animal Rescue and they raised $675. Saved by Grace would like to thank the Eagles and all who helped, donated, and supported the event for their generosity and kindness.
The Newton Community High School Choral Department held their annual Pops Concert in the NCHS Auditorium on November 7th and 8th. Choral students performed solos, duets, and ensembles as well as several complete choral numbers.
The Jasper Community Unit 1 School District held a Veterans Day program in which all Newton Elementary, Jasper County Junior High, and Newton Community High School students as well as community members attended on Friday, November 8th. Newton Elementary 6th grade students in Mrs. Chapman’s class had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge about their chosen person from a book when they participated in the living wax museum.
