Lady Eagles 2-0 at Oblong Round Robin
The Newton Lady Eagles faced Oblong Jr. High and the St. Anthony Bullpups at the Oblong Round Robin. The Lady Eagles shutout Oblong in three innings with 15 runs. The Lady Eagles scored nine in the first inning, two in the second, and four in the third with seven hits.

P.E.O. Sisterhood August Meeting
Chapter FN of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met August 13 at the first Presbyterian Church.
