BCC Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory
Newton (NCHS) Eagles Varsity 2021 fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to BCC on Saturday. BCC scored on a home run by York in the first inning, a fielder’s choice by Cervantes in the second inning, and a single by Tomczak in the second inning.
The Newton (NCHS) Eagles Varsity 2021 struggled to contain the high-powered offense of BCC, giving up nine runs.
BCC got things moving in the first inning. York drove in three when York homered.
A single by Lexie Grove in the second inning was a positive for Newton (NCHS) Eagles Varsity 2021.
Hartrich toed the rubber for BCC. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one.
Kayla “Kocher” was in the circle for Newton (NCHS) Eagles Varsity 2021. The righthander went two innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out three. Emma Kidwell threw four innings out of the bullpen.
