
While the Martin twins dominated the court scoring 39 of the 69 points for the Lady Eagles during their win over Windsor/Stew-Stras, one basket brought the game to a halt as those present were able to watch Camryn Martin score her 1,000th point with 4:44 left in the second quarter.
The Lady Eagles head into the Bob Keran’s tournament undefeated having beaten both Fairfield and Windsor. The Lady Eagles will face Flora this evening at 7:30 pm in the NCHS Gym.
The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Hatchets with a final score of 69 to 38 with the Eagles scoring double digits all four quarters.
Scoring for the Eagles included: Karasyn. Martin – 8,1,1 for 1 = 20; Camryn. Martin – 7,1,2 for 2 = 19; Grace Schumacher – 4,0,1 for 2 = 9; Addy O’Dell – 2,1 = 7; Izzy Meinhart – 1,1 = 5 Maddy Brummer – 2,0 = 4; Allie Hermann – 0,1 = 3; and Claire Probst – 1,0 = 2. Probst led the Eagles with 8 rebounds and Brummer and Schumacher each had three. Camryn had 10 assists and Karasyn had 4. Camryn had 6 steals and Karasyn had 5.
Brad Harris spoke about Camryn’s accomplishment stating, “Congratulations to Camryn Martin for reaching the 1,000th point milestone. She is such a determined athlete with a strong work ethic. She definitely deserves this honor.”
