
Carven Leroy Wade “Bud”, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Born in Richland County, Illinois on July 11, 1947, Bud was the son of Clyde and Opal Wade. A proud American, he served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded three Purple Hearts for his bravery and sacrifice.
Bud lived a full and adventurous life. He worked as a boilermaker, and later owned and operated the Hi-Neighbor in Indianapolis, Indiana. Known for his generous spirit, Bud left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He had a deep love for the outdoors — especially fishing and time spent by the river — and he found great joy in riding his Harley-Davidson. A member of the Masonic Lodge, Bud cherished brotherhood, tradition and the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Stolze and DeeAnna Williamson and six grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy James “T.J.” Wade and Danny Joe Wade, as well as his parents.
He will be remembered for his courage, love for his family and his adventurous spirit. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Private family service to be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
