The 2023 Cork and Pork Festival was held on July 8 at The Hill Bar. The festival was moved to The Hill due to forecasted inclement weather. Flat Mountain and Feudin Hillbillies both played at the event.

Bob and Patty Gillespie performed during the Newton Public Library Summer Reading program. They spoke to the children and adults about various different animals.
