The 2024-25 NCHS Girls Basketball team

On December 3, 2024 a caucus of the democratic and republican parties in Fox Township of Newton IL will be held at the Fox Township Building at 6 pm. The purpose is to nominate candidates for the following offices: road commissioner, township supervisor, township clerk, and four township trustees.

Jasper County held its annual Veterans Day program on November 11th. The Newton Marching Eagles performed to start the program. Minister Anthony Harris SFC US Army with 12 years of service including 3 deployments, Afghanistan was the speaker and also performed the invocation and benediction. He also presented the memorial
